Acoustic upright bass and drums played with brushes set a hip groove for lyrics inspired by the poems of a long time resident of Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Hospital who has the unfortunate nickname “Oedipus Dick”. Two beatnik revivalists seek to question what is considered normal using their own style of music dubbed “Gutter Jazz”. A non-stop improvisation of music, fucked up stories, spoken word poetry, theater, and criticisms of pop culture.
